Haiku: Metal Doors

Metal Doors

Solid metal doors
keep bad guys out. Or bad guys
keep good guys locked in.

Terrible, I know. But it’s the best I could do for the Haiku Horizons prompt this week.

  1. It’s interesting you mention it not being very haiku-like. Since trying one recently, I did a little research on just what haikus are supposed to be. Evidently there were strict rules before, but it’s open to what you’d like to do with it these days.

I like your Metal Doors. It’s how I often feel when locking both – not just one – of the locks on our front door.

Keep up the writing. Your self-challenges are inspiring me. I’m going to try some of them.

    • I agree about the haiku…although some haiku purists would probably say the ones I write are senryu, rather than haiku. I just call them haiku so I don’t have to go through my old posts and change the categories 🙂

Really glad the writing challenges are inspiring you. Ironically, I find it more of a challenge coming up with challenges than actually completing them…
